Ring Around the
By: Pam Melton
As you may know by now, I'm all about hanging things up and making use of ordinary items in atypical ways. One of the most versatile run-of-the-mill items is the shower curtain ring. Mind you, not the nifty shower curtain hooks that abound, but the plain, ole shower curtain ring.
Here are just a few of the ways that I have found to utilize this prosaic little item:

- Ha
nging stemware - I don't have a stemware rack-would love a stemware rack-can't justify spending the money on a stemware rack. If you take the extra step to embellish the shower curtain/stemware ring, they can double as cocktail tags when entertaining. - Extending the plant hanger - I'm short, no two ways about it. I love hanging plants, but have difficulty watering them due to the height issue. This is really a butt pain with anything that hangs from the ceiling and has to be accessed once in a while-candle holders, chimes, toys, etc.
- Toolbox security - you want to keep your toolbox easily accessible for you; your kids, not so much. Run a shower curtain ring through the hasp on your toolbox!
- When the hole just isn't big enough - increase the size by adding a shower curtain ring.
Hey there you Hands On Women out there! I bet you have some inventive ways of using this little item. C'mon, give!
